Good Friday in Photos

Good Friday is the day when Catholics remember the crucifixion and death of Christ. One way Filipinos do it is by an evening procession with carts and statues depicting the events of that day. Here are some of my photos of the procession which are taken using the Canon EOS M paired with a Canon 28 mm f/3.5 FD vintage lens.

Catholic devotees light up candles, colored depending on their wishes, and pray solemnly; hoping that all their prayers are heard and answered.

A devotee prays intimately in one of the chapels in the church.

One of the first carts to arrive. The big crowd start to gather around to either take photos or pray.
Another cart passes by, depicting the moment when Jesus was brought down from the cross.
