Learn Film Photography with the awesome people behind Sunny16 Lab

Barely a month after their Kids Workshop, the awesome people behind Sunny16 Lab will hold another class teaching the wonders of Film Photography. This time around the workshop is for adults!

In case you haven’t heard, Sunny16 Lab is a film and digital processing laboratory and supply shop run by professional photographers. Sunny16 Lab, which is based in Quezon City, can be best described as a lab built by photographers for photographers.

The 2-day workshop will be held at DULO MNL, Poblacion, Makati City on June 24 (Saturday) to 25 (Sunday), 2017. Activities for Day 1 start at 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while Day 2 begins at 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This workshop will cover several topics during the 1st day such as; the Basics of Film Photography, Understanding Your Film Stock, Shooting Techniques, Push and Pulling Film, A Developing Crash Course and Demo. The 2nd day will feature Sony Ambassador and street photographer JC Gellidon, who will share his photography journey, how he developed his style, and how he got interested in film. He will also share some tips and tricks about landscape and urbanscape photography.

Since last year, we’ve been working hard to give-back to the film community, especially at Lomomanila. The group has provided us with a platform to share our work, whilst honing our talents through film photography. Today, we decided to pour our hearts to our first ever “legit” film photography workshop. The goal is to encourage and share our knowledge to both budding artists and experienced digital photographers who are getting into film. – Sunny16 Lab.

Interested participants will have to pay P5,000 to join the 2-day learning experience. But since Sunny16 wants to give back to the community, they offer a P1,500 discount for members of the local film photography group Lomomanila. On the other hand, those who would go to DULO MNL’s opening night will get to sign up for just P3,000. You’ll have to hurry if you want to attend this knowledge-packed event as it will only accommodate 15 people. (Maybe more if we beg Sunny16 Lab.)
